Environmental impact on pipeline risk

Pipeline operation is carried out in a walled environment, pipeline not only due to corrosion aging and other properties of natural decline, but also under the influence of bad weather and geological disasters and other harmful factors. What's more, the pipeline passes through many areas and is subject to activity around the pipeline. As a result, different pipelines are faced with different hazard factors and different severity, and the impact of pipeline failure on the surrounding environment is also different, so the means and strength of risk control are also different accordingly. For example, in view of the risk differences of pipelines in different pipelines sections and in different seasons, it is necessary to formulate inspection standards for one-place and one-season cases. Therefore, the management of pipelines should highlight individual differences and take measures according to local conditions. Whether in the selection of pipeline inspection frequency and inspection content, or in the frequency and focus of daily patrol, the main line of risk types and severity faced by pipelines should be highlighted. This approach is quite different from the periodic maintenance strategy of regular inspection and maintenance of conventional special equipment.
