Buried pipe sacrificial anode cathodic protection method
A variety of sacrificial anodes can be selected as required. They come in all shapes and sizes. Most sacrificial anodes are cast, and their sections are trapezoidal, circular and rectangular. Banded magnesium anodes have been recently extruded. The most commonly used specifications for casting magnesium alloy are 4kg, 8kg, 11kg, 14kg and 22kg. A steel core is embedded in the middle of the sacrificial anode, which is embedded during the casting of the anode, with one or both ends exposed. Its purpose is to guide the anode current, at the same time easy to fix the anode, and to increase the mechanical strength of the anode. The sacrificial anode is often filled with a substance with a lower resistivity than soil, called filler. Among them, gypsum (i.e., calcium sulfate), make the anodic corrosion uniform; Bentonite sediatomite, maintain ± soil moisture; Sodium sulfate is added to reduce the resistivity of the soil.
